Richard Campbell

Richard Campbell obtained his M.Ed. (Adult Education) in 2002 and is co-author (with Cheryl Svensson of Los Angeles) of Writing Your Legacy – The Step-by-Step Guide to Crafting Your Life Story, released worldwide in July 2015 by Writer’s Digest Books. It is now carried in over 250 U.S. libraries, most Canadian ones in all ten provinces, as well as others in Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. Both Harvard and Princeton carry copies.

As a professional writer who has done freelance work for Canadian newspapers and CBC Radio, Richard has appeared on several Top 50 U.S. radio stations to discuss the book. These include:

The January 2017 issue of Writer’s Digest magazine featured his article A Life Well Written. In addition, the annual 2016 Writer’s Digest Writer’s Workbook issue included an excerpt from Writing Your Legacy. Later in 2017 a chapter from the book will be featured in Writing Voice: The Complete Guide to Creating a Presence on the Page & Engaging Readers, published by Writer’s Digest Books.

Richard conducts “Writing Your Life Story” sessions for guests sailing on transatlantic crossings with Windstar Cruises.

Writing Conference – New York City

In July 2016 he presented a session on memoir writing at the international Writer’s Digest Conference in New York City. Over 1,000 people attended from around the world.

Richard runs his own business, Guided Life Stories near Toronto, Canada.
